WSO Task Report (WTR) Number: 30 Descriptive Name: exit slit limit switch Initiator: Tim Larson Date Opened: 2008/01/09 09:37 Date Problem Occurred: 2007/12/25 Priority: 2 Serious Status: Closed -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Description of Problem: On Christmas day, a meanfield hung. The computer was unable to move the exit slit. I went to the exit slit control and tried to move the slit manually. Usually this can be done just by pressing the red/blu buttons without flipping the switch from comp to man. That didn't work, so I flipped the switch, and then I could move it in the red direction but not the blu direction. Eventually, however, the problem fixed itself. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Possible Consequences If Problem Persists: unable to observe -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Solution, Possible Solution, or Trouble Shooting Steps: Problems of this sort with the exit slit are not uncommon, but they can usually be fixed by manually moving the slit away from one of its limits. In any case, a flaky limit switch is indicated. We will replace it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Other Comments: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date Updated: 2008/01/09 09:57 Updated by: John Beck Update Information: On 3 Jan 08. TPL & JGB found the blue limit switch was not functioning correctly. Occasionally, it indicated that the slit was at the blue limit after it was moved away from the limit (this was due to wear and tear on the lever which activates the switch). We replaced the blue limit switch and will keep our eye on it before closing this WTR (we are waiting for good weather to adequately test this repair). -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date Closed: 2008/11/11 22:23 Resolution: Vat5iW sqapvovyzqqi, blothircpcya, [link=http://kahjtsyubwdt.com/]kahjtsyubwdt[/link], http://svvdtepdefiv.com/ --------------------------------------------------------------------------
