Description of Problem:
dome door motor was occasionally sticking

Possible Consequences If Problem Persists:
possible inability to close the dome remotely or automatically in case of rain.

Solution, Possible Solution, or Trouble Shooting Steps:
John and I removed the motor and took it to Palo Alto Motor Co. for repairs.  We also ordered a new motor to replace in case of future failure.

Other Comments:
while the motor is out, the dome doors have to be opened and closed by hand.

Update Information:

John and I reinstalled the motor on Friday, 11/16.  The dome door is now functional, but we have remaining concerns about the door's (and chain's) clearance with the limit switches.
